PROCESS TO REGISTER AS A SELLER ON FLIPKART

Documents required
1. GSTIN - Your GST identification number.
2. Scanned copy of your signature on white background.
3. A cancelled cheque with your bank account details like account number and IFSC code. If you have a company, then the company’s name should appear on the cheque, and if you are an individual, then your name should be present.
4. PAN Card/Passport/Driving License/Voters ID/Aadhar Card/Passbook/Ration Card/Electricity Bill (not older than three months)/Mobile Bill (not older than three months) (Any one of these documents)
STEP-1- Creating Account
To create an account on Flipkart as a seller Click here.
A screen as shown below would appear.

Enter your e-mail address.
Enter your full name.
Generate the OTP by clicking on SEND OTP.
The OTP will be sent to the mobile number that you have entered.

Once the OTP is generated, a two minutes timer will start.
Enter the correct OTP and click on SIGN UP.
STEP 2- Set Password
After clicking on SIGN UP, the screen as shown below will appear.
You need to set a password that fulfils all the requirements as per Flipkart. The password must be complicated for any person to crack, except you.

The password must be of 8 characters, must contain a minimum of one lowercase alphabet, one uppercase alphabet, one digit, and one special character like,!@#$%^&*

A green color tick will appear before the requirements which are satisfied by your password.
You again need to type the same password for confirmation and, if it matches, you need to click on SET PASSWORD.
STEP 3- Pick up Address
You need to enter the PIN Code from which the products that you want to sell would be picked up for further shipping process. The Flipkart has limited PIN Codes from which it picks up large products like, sofa, washing machines, etc.

There are few PIN Codes for which Flipkart needs verification. Hence, a message as shown in this image would appear. You need to enter your full address for Flipkart to verify it. Click on CONTINUE.

If the PIN Code entered by you does not require verification by Flipkart, a message showing
CONGRATULATIONS would appear as in the image. You can proceed by entering the address from which you want the products to be picked in the “PICKUP ADDRESS” column. Click on CONTINUE.
STEP 4- Business Details (GSTIN)
The GSTIN (Goods and Service Tax Identification Number), is required for selling products through an e-commerce platform like Flipkart. For more details about GST registration click here.

If you already have a GSTIN, select the first option visible on the screen, as shown in the image. Enter your GSTIN number and click on VERIFY. The bank details will be auto-populated. Then, click on CONTINUE.

If you want to sell a product like a book, then Flipkart does not mandate a GSTIN. Select the second option visible on the screen, as shown in the image.
You are required to enter details of your Business name, PAN number, Business type, your Business address, as shown in the figure.
Then scroll down the screen for other details.

Upload any one document out of PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/Voters ID/ Aadhar Card/ Passbook/ Ration Card/ Electricity Bill (not older than three months)/Mobile Bill (not older than three months), as a proof of address.
Upload a scanned copy of your signature on white background in the next column.

If you have applied for GSTIN, click on the third option visible on the screen as shown in the image. Click on CONTINUE.
STEP 5- Bank Account Details
A bank account in the name of the business is mandatory to work as an online seller on Flipkart. All the payments will be made to this account on the purchase of your product from Flipkart.

If you already have a bank account in name of your business, select the first option visible on the screen as shown in the image. Enter the details of your account in the given space, first the Account holder’s name and then the Bank Account Number. Then, click on CONTINUE.

If you do not have a bank account in name of your business but have applied for it, select the second option visible on the screen as shown in the image Then, click on CONTINUE.
STEP 6- The Final Steps
After completing all the above steps, the final screen will appear as shown in the images below. It will show the status of your Flipkart Account, the information filled, and the remaining information. After filling in all the information you can start selling your products on Flipkart.


If you did not fill in the GSTIN number before, you update it under the BUSINESS DETAILS column as shown in the image.
You can also upload your scanned signature under the SIGNATURE column, if you have not done it earlier.

If you had not updated the bank account details earlier, you can update them now under the BANK DETAILS column.

If you want a sell a product that is already available on Flipkart, then you can search the product and go ahead with the selling.
If you want to sell your own product you can click on LIST YOUR OWN PRODUCT and fill in details about your product.
