Section 208 of the Companies Act of 2013 requires the submission of the inspection report.
This section states that:
After inspecting the books of account or conducting an inquiry under section 206(Power of ROC to call for information and Inspect documents) and other books and papers of the company under section 207(Conduct of Inspection and Inquiry), the Registrar or inspector shall submit a report in writing to the Central Government along with such documents, if any, and such report may, if necessary, include a recommendation that further investigation into the affairs of the company is necessary, with his reasons in support.
