SECTION 411. QUALIFICATIONS OF CHAIRPERSON AND MEMBERS OF APPELLATE TRIBUNAL
(1) The chairperson shall be a Supreme Court Judge or a Chief Justice of a High Court who is or has been a Judge of the Supreme Court or a Chief Justice of a High Court.
(2) A Judicial Member is a person who has served for five years as a Judge of a High Court or as a Judicial Member of the Tribunal.
[(3) A technical member is a person of proven skill, integrity, and standing who has particular knowledge and professional experience in industrial finance, industrial management, industrial reconstruction, investment, and accounting for at least twenty-five years.
The Companies (Amendment) Act 2017 replaced it with Notification No. File No. 1/1/2018-CL. I was writing on the 9th of February, 2018. Before the change, it read as follows:
"(3) A Technical Member shall be a person of proven ability, integrity, and standing who possesses special knowledge and experience in law, industrial finance, industrial management or administration, industrial reconstruction, investment, accountancy, labour matters, or other disciplines related to management, the conduct of affairs, revival, rehabilitation, or winding up of companies, for a period of not less than twenty-five years."
