2026 update
FSSAI licenses no longer need renewal, but the annual fee still applies
Amendment regulations notified on March 10, 2026 give perpetual validity to FSSAI licenses and registrations, unless suspended, canceled or surrendered. A missed annual license fee leads to deemed suspension, and no food business activity is allowed during suspension.
