Main Division of Industrial Activity Code and Business Code of the Company for SPICe+ Company & FiLLiP LLP Registration

In India, MCA or the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has published a separate list of Industrial Activity Codes & Business Codes for Company Registration or LLP Registration. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has published a list of Industrial Codes and it’s a selected version of NIC Classification summarized by the MCA. It’s a 2-digit code representing the main divisions of NIC Classification. Industrial Activity Code & Business Code is necessary for Filing SPICe+ Forms for Company Registration & FiLLip Forms for LLP Registration. In the case of a Company, the selected code becomes part of the CIN (Corporate Identification Number). In case of filing SPICe+ Part B for Company Incorporation while filing FiLLiP for the LLP Registration, this Business Code is to be filed based on the business activities of the LLP or Company. What is SPICe+ Form for Company Registration in India?

In India, every company registered on or after Feb 23, 2020 is required to apply for the Reservation of Name & Company Incorporation through the new web services. This new facility facilitates all the applicants who want to apply for the Company Name, Incorporation Services & other integrated services at the same time. Such applicants can do so by completing Part A & B of the SPICe+ Form. MCA has undertaken many amendments to simplify the Company Registration process in India. Instituting the SPICe+ is one of the main steps to ease the Company Incorporation process and promote the ease of doing business in India. 

• SPICe+ Part-A Form: This Form is the portion where all the information regarding a new Company’s Name Reservation must be entered. This form can be submitted separately without Part-B for the Name Reservation only or it can be submitted in tandem with the Part-B form for the Incorporation as well as other integrated services.
• SPICe+ Part-B Form: This form offers following services:

1. Incorporation;
2. Issuance of PAN & TAN;
3. Issue of EPFO Registration;
4. Issue of ESIC Registration;
5. DIN Allotment;
6. Mandatory issue of Professional Tax Registration only for companies to be registered in Karnataka, West Bengal, and Maharashtra;
7. Mandatory opening of Company’s Bank Accounts;
8. Allotment of GSTIN (optional);
9. Allotment of Shops & Establishment Registration (only for Delhi);
