Flipkart sells a wide variety of products- catering to hundreds of categories ranging from personal care to auto-care products. In order to successfully raise an issue with Flipkart, you must know which products can and which cannot be returned.
Additionally, as a general precaution, always check the return policy of an item before making the purchase.
The usual time within which you can return a product is within 30 days. If you are having any trouble with your product after the return window is over, you can get in touch with an authorised service centre of the product brand to claim the warranty (if applicable). Alternatively, you can contact Flipkart to know what action to take.
It must be noted that the return policy differs from one product to another. In such cases, the return policy on the product’s page will prevail over the general return policy. Refer the list below to know which products cannot be returned.
Flipkart’s return policy offers options of exchange, replacement and/or refund. The seller fulfils the buyer’s chosen option. The general rule says that all products can be returned in exchange for any of the given options.
In case you receive a damaged product during an open box delivery, you are entitled to a full refund on the spot. Once accepted, no return request can be processed, except for manufacturing defects. In such cases, category-specific general conditions will be applicable.
In the case of furniture, issues will be checked by Flipkart-authorised service provider for free. Issues will be attempted to be resolved by replacing the faulty/ defective part of the product.
Flipkart has a ‘buyer protection policy’ which helps in resolving disputes between the buyer and the seller. If a seller refuses a return and gives an unsatisfactory reason for it, the buyer can submit a complaint. Although, this must be done within 45 days from the date of delivery.
You will get a refund if the seller cannot replace the product.
